Winning the title of Miss Pinup NZ 2015 would mean that I have come such a long way from being lost and wondering about who I am as a person. The view she had of being so comfortable in your own skin made me realise that no matter what love what you have, embrace it and others will too! A culture that I have always been drawn to, the music I adore and the fashion and styling I wear everyday. Hotrods and greasers are my weakness and i don’t mind helping out in the garage.

I love hot rods, tattoos and tight clothes. We chatted to Bettie about how to embrace the pinup style, what it was like to win MPUNZ and how her life has changed since then. I started swing dancing when I was still coming out of my ‘bad place’ and I think that gave me a new found love and respect for my body.
